Dog Parks

Ninth Street Park- 417 West 9th Street 28202 (Uptown)

Ninth Street Park is one of the newest dog parks in Charlotte. They have two separate areas for big and small dogs. There is decent shade and running water available for us and our furry friends. There is also good parking there.

Frazier Place Dog Park- 1201 W. Trade Street 28208 (Uptown)

Frazier Place Dog Park also has two areas for large and small dogs, great shade and running water for our furry friends. Be careful for holes in the ground. A running pup could get hurt. Also avoid Frazier Park after a rain storm unless you want to bathe your furry family afterwards!

Plaza Midwood Neighborhood Association Dog Park- 28025 (Plaza Midwood)

The PMNA Dog Park is a nice sized park with running water and decent shade and parking (except during brunch hours on the weekends because Snooze is down the block). The area is mulch so get ready for a bath if you go after it rains!

William R. Davie Park- 28226 (Piper Glen)

This park might be a drive for most but it has two huge fenced in yards, one for small dogs and one for big dogs. There are garbage cans available and 2 water stations. When you arrive, go right at the fork and park. Such a beautiful place!

Groomers

Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming- 1311 Pecan Avenue

We LOVE that a location of Woof Gang opened in our neighborhood. Our spokes dogs Tristan and Boo drag us there for some love and of course some treats. The staff there are so friendly. They know us by name! They have so many cute things in there from treats to toys to leashes….. They also have top notch grooming. All of their furry clients look fabulous after their services. We head over to Milkbread down the block for a pup cup afterwards……

Queen City Animal Hospital- 920 Belmont Avenue 28205
704-703-1414
queencityanimalhospital.com

So glad I found the QCAH when I moved into town. They take such amazing care of my baby Tristan. They have wondering, caring staff and and amazing, high tech location.

Independence Veterinary Clinic
704-841-1313
www.independenceveterinaryclinic.com

Dr. MIchelle Bryan and Dr. Bart Bryan are supposed to be some of the best vets in CLT. If you have a flat faced friend, Dr. Bart Bryan specializes in nares and soft palette surgery. We are also a little partial because they are owned by a Frenchie named Toad..

Uptown Veterinary Hospital
704-332-5450
www.uptownvethospital.org

Uptown Vet Hospital also takes very good care of their furry patients. They have a lovely and caring staff! We’ve heard to ask specifically for Dr. Jen and Dr. Greg!

South End Veterinary Clinic
704-632-8012
www.southendvet.com

South End Veterinary Clinic has gotten rave reviews from some of our clients.

Emergency Vet

CARE- Charlotte Animal Referral & Emergency
www.carecharlotte.com

The worst feeling is when a member of your furry family is sick and its after hours at the vet. CARE- Charlotte is one of the best pet emergency care units in CLT. Sadly, I’ve been there and while it is a little expensive, they took amazing care of my fur-fam and kept me updated and put my mind at ease.

Training

Command Canine- 19701 Bethel Church Road, Suite 103
www.commandcanine.dog

We heard through the grapevine that Chelsey at Command Canine is fantastic with our four legged friends. She is punctual and consistent and give us hoomans great advice on how to make sure our pups are as best trained as possible.

emBark
www.embarknc.com

Admittedly, I’m a failure…. a foster failure. I fostered the sweetest bulldog from an incredible rescue, Bullies 2 The Rescue Her name is Boo and she is perfect…. except…. she thinks my two tabby cats are snacks. We have been working with Coree at emBark and training has been going very well. Boo also likes to freeze when we see other dogs on our walks. We are working on that too!!!!

Dog Friendly Restaurants/Bars/Breweries/Coffee etc.

Birdsong Brewing Co.-1016 N Davidson Street
704-389-8382
www.birdsongbrewing.com

I know, most breweries allow dogs but Birdsong is over the top. Their staff LOVE dogs!! Both Boo and Tristan got some dog treats while I drank some of their amazing sours. They have a fantastic indoor and outdoor space. They also have free peanuts which is always a plus. Might be one of my new favorites in the CLT!!!

Goldies- 3601 South Blvd
704-910-4085
www.goldiesclt.com

Goldies has not one but two patios where you can party with your pup. Tristan, Boo and I prefer the rear patio because it has more shade. Check out their IG or call before you go because they have live music almost everyday and it gets super crowded and loud, not the best experience for our fur family. They also have great food and beer, wine and cocktails. They also have a hot dog stand with 6 different dogs. Probably one of the best hotdogs I’ve had!!!!

Rosie’s Coffee and Wine Garden
704-604-8975
www.rosieswinegarden.com

Rosie’s Coffee & Wine Garden is located at the McGill Rose garden and named after their beloved calico cat who passed away in 2017. Rosie’s is dog friendly both indoors and out. They have amazing wifi and lots of space indoors. Their outdoor space is impressive with plenty of places to walk your pup and sit and enjoy a wine or coffee. DEFINITELY bring your bug spray- they do supply some as well during the summer months. They make a great iced coffee and have fun syrups (definitely try the rosemary and spiced honey)! They also have wines and beers by the glass and you can purchase bottles there as well. They have $5 wine glasses on Tuesday’s. They are down the block from Birdsong so you can hit both at the same time!

Bloom & Bottle-1035 Harrill Street
704-966-7297
www.bloomandbottleclt.com

I don’t understand how I haven’t gone to Bloom & Bottle sooner. Located right next to our favorite vet, Queen City Animal Hospital. Such a friendly staff and great indoor and outdoor space with dog beds and bowls. Our fur-fam can even go off leash, even though I wouldn’t recommend that!! They have an amazing draft list, wine and a cooler full of beer. The main event is they also have flowers by the stem where you can create your own bouquet!! They also have music bingo!!!

Triple C Brewing Company- 2900 Griffith Street
704-372-3212
www.triplecbrewing.com

Triple C is one of my favorite breweries in the CLT. I’m a big fan of sours and they always are rotating them. They also have the best ginger seltzer I’ve ever had. They have a nice indoor space where you can bring your pup and a very large outdoor space as well. The highlight of Triple C is their resident food truck Izzy’s. They have some of the best fries in CLT (ask for them extra crispy). They also make these delicious chicken nachos and you can order from your phone.

Divine Barrel Brewing- 3701 N. Davidson Street
980-237-1803
www.divinebarrel.com

Not only does Divine Barrel have a ton of amazing beers, their indoor and outdoor spaces are both dog friendly. They sell snacks and artwork and Deejay Thai is right next door. There is tons of seating outdoors but not a lot of shade so keep that in mind. They also have tons of water bowls to borrow but we usually bring our own!

The Bevery (formally Summit Seltzer)- 2215 Thrift Road- Suite B
980-819-6416
www.bevarycraftseltzer.com

I’m definitely NOT a fan of canned hard seltzers but wanted to try Summit. WHOA! Their seltzers are serious. They don’t have that chemical fake taste and many are above 6% APV (YASSSS)! They also have cocktails, wine, alcohol and even jello shots! They used to be super dog friendly, both in and out but they are going to start serving food soon so double check on a hot day (they have outdoor seating).

Ed’s Tavern- 2200 Park Road
704-335-0033
www.edstavern.com

We love this place for sports (sans dogs) inside, however, they have a beautiful patio where you can bring your furry friends. Yes, it overlooks the parking, however, their wings, nachos and drink selection DEFINITELY make up for it!!!

Pinhouse- 2306 Central Avenue 28205
704-335-0312
www.pinhouseclt.com

We love bringing our fur-fam to Pinhouse. Dogs are allowed in and outside. They have over 60 beers on draught that you self pour (how fun is that)? They need to have dog beer as well. They have a full service bar too. Don’t sleep on the Sour Patch Margarita!!!

Two Buck Saloon- 1113 Hawthorne Lane 28205

Such a fun dive bar in Plaza Midwood. They have a jukebox, video games, pool tables and a great bar with amazing service. They love dogs there too!!!!

Skiptown- 222 Rampart Street 28203
704-343-6658
www.skiptown.io

Skiptown is a dog and humans PARADISE! They have a huge indoor and outdoor space where our fur friends can run. They have an amazing staff that is always watching to make sure your dog is safe. They have a full service bar and they have tons of events each month!

NoDa Company Store
980-859-0441
www.nodacompanystore.com

NoDa Company Store is a sleeper. They have a pretty great local draft list and a cooler with many beers, wines and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. They also have some snacks. The best part is their outdoor space. So adorable and of course our furry friends are welcome both in and outside.

Pins Mechanical Company
980-556-7746
www.pinsbar.com

Pins is around the corner from Skiptown if you havent had enough drink and playtime. It can be a little crazy in there depending on what day/time you go but pups are allowed both indoors and out. I wouldn’t recommend bringing your dog into the games section- might be too much for them but you can enjoy a cocktail or beer with them by the bar area or outside. Their drinks are ok. I find them overpriced for what you get but they do have a good selection!!!

Mugs
704-733-9014
www.mugsofcharlotte.com

WOW! Mugs makes me, Tristan and Boo REALLY happy!!! Not only is it a SUPER dog friendly place, but they have amazing coffee and snacks. Their indoor space is great, tons of tables and chairs. Its a chill vibe and they play great music. There is a small but delicious food menu with sandwiches and snacks. Don’t forget to ask for a treat and pup-cup!
