ABOUT PAWS ON PINE

aboutimagePaws on Pine is a boutique dog walking and pet sitting concierge service, offering personalized and reliable care to pets and their very happy owners. Located in the heart of Lower Manhattan, we treat your dogs and cats like our own.

At Paws on Pine, we don’t believe in “pack walks”.  We want your dog to experience what they are used to with you, their human owner. Your dogs aren’t riding up and down in elevators or standing in lobbies with us; they are outside walking, having the time of their lives, exploring our amazing neighborhood!

In addition, we only assign one pet specialist to each of our furry clients.  We want your pets to have the best and most comfortable experience with us!

Paws on Pine knows it is difficult and stressful to find someone to care for your pets while at work or traveling. We are THE service you can trust.

With updates and pictures sent by text and/or e-mail after every walk or visit, you will never worry about your pets’ happiness and safety.

Fully insured and bonded and proud member of Pet Sitters International, Paws on Pine looks forward to meeting the needs of your furry kids. We offer passion, flexible schedules and no contracts.

Trust your pets to the love and care at Paws on Pine!

About the Owner

IMG_0726Heather Curatolo is a born-and-bred New Yorker and animal lover. She spent years working in overly demanding jobs and felt something was missing. Heather decided to follow her passion and started a dream job of working with pets. One of her dogs, Bebop, a French bulldog, had cancer and soon after, was paralyzed for almost three months. Being able to give her almost 24-hour care made Heather happy and fulfilled. Sadly, Bebop is no longer with us but was a huge inspiration in starting Paws on Pine along with Doxy the Dachshund who crossed the Rainbow Bridge as well. Heather is currently owned by a French Bulldog related to Bebop named Tristan. She is a long-time resident of the Financial District.

About our Staff

At Paws on Pine, we have a strict interview process for all our dog walkers and pet sitters including extensive reference and background checks.  We employ animal owners and lovers. Our walkers are extremely familiar with the Financial District neighborhood and know all the best places to walk your furry family.

Xavi Ocaña- Originally from Barcelona, Xavi has a degree in Journalism and when he’s not walking or watching our Paws on Pine furry family, he works at various art & lifestyle magazines doing Social Media and writing. Xavi is owned by a 5 year old Shih Tzu named Grey (not named after 50 Shades but his favorite TV show Grey’s Anatomy). Xavi’s interests include writing, listening to The Killers, cooking and thinking of Kate Moss. “Paws on Pine has changed me forever- I don’t walk anymore unless I have a dog with me”.

Currently, he’s finishing his undergraduate studies at CUNY Hunter and looking forward to continuing his higher education in the future. Growing up, he enjoyed keeping everything from parakeets and fish, to a ball python named Cid. Having a sibling with pet allergies never allowed us to have cats or dogs but Mike has always had amazing animals in his life. He looks forward to owning his own dog someday but in the meantime made an awesome companion with his roommate’s 5-year-old chow/cattle dog mix, Rain. When he’s not walking or studying, he loves checking out new places in and around the city. “I’m super stoked to have found Heather and the team at Paws on Pine! It’s great to have the opportunity to meet fellow animal lovers and of course add to my growing fur family Furballfotos on Instagram”!
